The Presidency reports President Luis Abinader will be in Samana on Thurday, 21 July 2022 to start the Samana cruise ship dock construction. The Presidency announced the cruise ship pier will be built at Tiro al Blanco area of the Samana boardwalk. The entire Atlantic Ocean fronting area of Samana city will be subject to a major renovation project.
