The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) has opened an office at the Dominican Consulate in New York City (1501 Broadway, Suite 410, New York, NY 10036), where Dominicans can correct errors in their civil status records. Previously, Dominican expats had to travel to the Dominican Republic to make the corrections that could require follow-up visits.
Ygnacio Pascual Camacho, president of the TSE, explained that Dominicans who need to correct their birth certificates can do so in New York.
