The government has announced the end to the 10% surcharge on imported goods as of 17 May. Finance Minister Rafael Calder?n made the announcement after a meeting of the government?s economic team with President Mej?a. Calder?n also announced that next month the country would receive the first payment of US$100 million from the World Bank destined to improve the nation?s electrical system.
