Learning how to vote: four ballots in 2016

With 94 days to go before Election Day on 15 May 2016, the Central Electoral Board (JCE) hosted a visit by the delegates of the political parties to test the digital platform yesterday, Thursday 11 February 2016.

This year, voters will receive four ballots to vote for new government officials. The President and Vice President (Ballot A), municipal officials (Ballot B) and senators and deputies (Ballot C), and overseas deputies (Ballot D) will be chosen on the same day.

JCE president Roberto Rosario also met with President Danilo Medina and Minister of Hacienda Simon Lizardo. He said that the purpose of the visit was to discuss the timeline for the election, including the program for receiving the RD$3 billion that is expected in March, including political party government funding.
