Since last Thursday, 14 December 2017, Dominican authorities have seized well over 4,000 kilograms of cocaine that seems to indicate that the cartels have stepped up their deliveries to this island nation.<\/p>\n<p>In the dawn hours of 18 December 2017, fast boats belonging to the Dominican Armada seized an additional 76 cocaine packages \u2013 some 80 kg \u2013 in a maritime operation off the coast of Pedernales. In this case, two foreigners were said to have been arrested.
