{"id":107688,"date":"2017-12-21T10:02:07","date_gmt":"2017-12-21T14:02:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dr1.com\/new\/?p=107688"},"modified":"2017-12-21T10:02:07","modified_gmt":"2017-12-21T14:02:07","slug":"appeal-in-yuniol-ramirez-case-postponed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2017\/12\/21\/appeal-in-yuniol-ramirez-case-postponed\/","title":{"rendered":"Appeal in Yuniol Ramirez case postponed"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_107649\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-107649\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-107649\" src=\"http:\/\/dr1.com\/new\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/Appeal-postponed-in-Yuniol-Ramirez-case-List\u00edn-Diario-300x200.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-107649\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Manuel Rivas \/ List\u00edn Diario<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Judges at a Santo Domingo court have postponed the appeal by those implicated in the murder of lawyer and university professor Yuniol Ram\u00edrez until 15 January 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Court president Sarah Veras, along with judges Pilar Rufino D\u00edaz and Liz Francisco Madera took the decision to allow time for the details of the appeals to be presented to the Public Prosecution Service and the lawyers for the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n<p>The appeals were filed by the ex-director of the Office of Metropolitan Autobus Services (OMSA), Manuel Rivas, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Mercado Blanco (El Grande) and Colonel Faustino Rosario D\u00edaz, who are all in preventive custody in jail.<\/p>\n<p>The court also ordered that El Grande should attend the hearing.
