The lows are caused by crossing cold fronts. Suriel said that the cooler weather will move in from Saturday, 17 February to Sunday, 25 February 2018. He forecast lows of -5 \u2103 in Pico Duarte; Valle Nuevo, 2\u2103; Constanza 9\u2103; San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa 11\u2103, Jarabacoa 13\u2103. Also San Juan de la Maguana 13\u2103; San Francisco de Macor\u00eds 14\u2103; Bonao 14\u2103; Mao 15\u2103; Monci\u00f3n 16\u2103; Moca 16\u2103; La Vega 17\u2103; Santiago 17\u2103; Santo Domingo 18\u2103; San Pedro de Macor\u00eds 18\u2103, and Saman\u00e1 19\u2103.<\/p>\n<p>For Wednesday, 14 February 2018, the National Metereological Office (Onamet) is forecasting rains will continue on and off in the next days.
