The cargo vehicle slid off the road and stuck between the retaining wall and the tunnel under the Juan Carlos Bridge that leads to the outskirts of Santo Domingo. Only one lane was left open for traffic. Heavy rains were falling at the time of the accident.<\/p>\n<p>Two of four lanes in the west-east direction were closed to traffic causing major bottlenecks.
