Circunvalaci\u00f3n Sur at the entrance to Cienfuegos in Santiago de los Caballeros, was kidnapped last week. A ransom of US$5 million pesos is sought.<br \/>\nOn Thursday, 10 May 2018, his wife, Yaneyva Mar\u00eda Marcelino \u00c1lvarez, presented a claim at the Police in Santiago. She said that her husband was last known to have gone out with a Colombian associate identified as Luis Eduardo M\u00e9ndez (El Paisa), to visit a common friend. She has not heard from him since.<\/p>\n<p>Supposedly, Arias had telephoned a friend saying he was kidnapped and US$5 million needed to be paid for his freedom.<\/p>\n<p>Arias lived for several years in the United States where he reportedly owned a car wash.
