A New York City court case concluded in December 2016 that the Brazilian company executives had admitted to paying US$92 million in bribes to secure contract work in the Dominican Republic. In the New York court case, Odebrecht admitted to paying $439 million outside Brazil, with the largest foreign bribes paid out in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Panama.
