He said that in 2012 the exports of pineapples reached around US$2.5 million and production now stands at US$10 million.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to say that FEDA had around 400 producers who had received RD$189 million from the surprise visits of President Danilo Median La Cueva de Cevicos, in S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez and the area of Monte Plata.<\/p>\n<p>Ramos was speaking at the Pineapple Congress held in a hotel in Santo Domingo.
