He was also penalized with a fine of 51,000 Swiss francs. The announcement was published on 12 October 2018. FIFA charges that Guzman accepted gifts and entered into conflicts of interest.<\/p>\n<p>The president of the Dominican football federation (Fedofutbol), Osiris Guzm\u00e1n was already on a provisional ban that prevented him from participating in World Cup Games and the 2026 World Cup hosting vote in Russia. Guzm\u00e1n had served a 15-day ban in 2011 in fallout from a FIFA election bribery investigation. Guzman has said he will appeal.<\/p>\n<p>Guzm\u00e1n has presided the local soccer federation for over 25 years.
