The visit was a lead up to their participation in the Annual Realtors 2018 convention scheduled for 2-5 November 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts. At the NAR Annual Realtors 2018 Convention, the Dominican Republic will be represented by several residential developments.<\/p>\n<p>The delegation also met with Manuel Pacheco, director of tourism investments at Mitur to learn more about the development of real estate projects, statistics, facilities and tax incentives.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They no longer want to be satisfied with just being tourists. They want to buy properties and be part of the Dominican Republic,&#8221; Pacheco explained after citing the interest shown by the members of the NAR. Larissa Ortiz, president of NAR in the country, was the local coordinator for the visit.<\/p>\n<p>The National Association of Realtors (NAR), whose member brokers are known as realtors (member agents are known as realtor associates), is a North American trade association [1] for those who work in the real estate industry. It has over 1.1 million members,[2] including NAR&#8217;s institutes, societies, and councils, involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries. NAR also functions as a self-regulatory organization for real estate brokerage.
