Persons bitten by animals should get the preventive shots. Hector Quezada, the deputy minister of Collective Health, made the announcement to clarify that while it is true that the Anti-Rabies Center is closed for renovations, the vaccines are still available nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement comes as the nation is following the case of a six-year-old boy who is in a coma at the Robert Reid Cabral Children\u2019s Hospital in Santo Domingo and presenting symptoms of human rabies.
