After on a humanitarian mission with Marys Meals in Haiti, the 49-year old actor Gerard Butler was hospitalized at the Centro de Diagn\u00f3stico Medicina Avanzada y Telemedicina (Cedimat) in Santo Domingo. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis, according to gastroenterologist Fernando Contreras, who said Butler\u2019s condition was stable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diverticulitis is a condition where bulges in the large intestine become inflamed and sometimes infected, causing intense pain and digestive discomfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Butler is best known for his role as King Leonidas of Sparta in 300 and Geostorm. Since appearing in the film, he has also starred in several romantic comedies, including P.S.
