Attending to deliver the award were First Lady Candida Montilla and Foreign Minister Miguel Vargas. Also attending were judges of the award Jose Luis (Pep\u00edn) Corripio of Grupo Corripio, Haydee Kuret of Grupo Puntacana, and Eliza Bolen, for Oscar de la Renta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award ceremony marked the first public performance of the Hymn to Dominican Migrants, by singer-composer Frank Ceara. The show for the evening featured the performances of Maridalia Hern\u00e1ndez, H\u00e9ctor An\u00edbal, Eliacim, Ana Rivas, Carolina Rivas and Javier Grull\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lantigua was chosen from a short list of 10 worthy finalists who were: <br>\nCultural promoter Alexandra Regalado Rojas, Canada<br>\nPhysicians Bernarda Isabel Jim\u00e9nez Clemente and Carlos Dante Heredia Garc\u00eda, Spain.<br>\nChef Mar\u00eda Marte<br>\nLawyer Jeannette Alfau Ortiz, Spain<br>\nEducator Rafael Antonia, Spain<br>\nPediatrician Mario Paulino Payano, Puerto Rico<br>\nNatural health specialist Rosa M.
