In a statement, ANEIH says that the country, contrary to what has been established by the Department of Monetary Programing and Economic Studies of the Central Bank, needs a change in its economic model. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ANEIH establishes that despite recording the highest economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean, the country has been incapable of significantly reducing the number of informal jobs and increasing the quality of jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ANEIH stated: \u201cEmployment continues to grow only half of what GDP grows, because it is neglected and discourages the fundamental productive sectors, such as agriculture, industry and agro-industry, which have the greatest potential to generate linkages.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the document signed by its president, Antonio Taveras Guzm\u00e1n, the business organization noted that the Labor Force Survey (ENCFT) of the BCRD reveals that, of every 6 jobs created in 2018 three corresponded to the informal sector, two to the government and only one to the formal private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read more in Spanish:<br><a href=\"http:\/\/aeih.org.do\">AEIH<\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.argentarium.com\/veedor\/noticias\/43443-industriales-plantean-ocho-razones-para-cambiar-modelo-economico-del-banco-central\/\">Argentarium<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8 January 2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Association of Herrera Industries (ANEIH) disputes that all is fine and dandy with the economy as the Central Bank would like the country to believe.
