The market had been held on Mondays and Fridays. On market days, the border gates in Dajab\u00f3n are opened for Haitians to enter the Dominican Republic without presenting documentation. The Haitians then are expected to return with their purchases to resell in Haiti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dajab\u00f3n mayor Miguel Andr\u00e9s Jim\u00e9nez and the military head of Cesfront in Dajab\u00f3n, Colonel Rafael N. Guti\u00e9rrez agreed to the additional market day.
