The Ministry of Public Works has announced several leading construction projects to be started in 2019.
For Greater Santo Domingo:
\u2022 The overpass for Isabel Aguilar and 27 de Febrero.
\u2022 The 6km long four-lane Los Alcarrizos bypass (La Avenida Nuevo Camino) from Puente Blanco to Km. 14 Duarte Highway, with an exit to the old Duarte Highway, in Greater Santo Domingo. The plan is to detour more than 60% of the traffic headed to Los Alcarrizos from the National District.
\u2022 Construction of the Avenida Interconexi\u00f3n Los Alcarrizos
\u2022 Construction of section two of the Santo Domingo bypass
\u2022 Andr\u00e9s-Boca Chica overpass
\u2022 Construction of five urban transportation terminals
\u2022 Rehabilitation of Km. 9 Av. John F. Kennedy with Av. Luper\u00f3n
\u2022 Rehab of the floating bridge over Ozama River<\/p>\n\n\n\n

San Juan de la Maguana:
\n\u2022 Construction of the San Juan de la Maguana bypass
\n\u2022 Construction of 744 apartments in San Juan de la Maguana<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barahona:
\n\u2022 Ten baseball fields
\n\u2022 Reconstruction of the bridge to Polo
\n\u2022 Urban works for the neighborhoods of Ciudad Esperanza and Ciudad Larimar
\n\u2022 Renovations at the Barahona marketplace and the municipal slaughterhouse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Azua:
\n\u2022 Remodeling of the Buen Pastor and Ministerio de las Carmelitas churches
\n\u2022 Renovation of the Plaza de los Pilones
\n\u2022 Construction of the Azua city bypass expressway<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peravia:
\n\u2022 Peravia bypass <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saman\u00e1:
\n\u2022 Las Terrenas public hospital<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monse\u00f1or Nouel:
\n\u2022 Cotu\u00ed-La Mata bridge<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Vega
\n\u2022 Producers warehousing in Villa Altagracia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montecristi:
\n\u2022 Copey-Agrario-Ca\u00f1o Blanco road<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puerto Plata:
\n\u2022 Expansion of the highway linking Puerto Plata and Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez provinces on the north coast.
\n\u2022 The Ministry announced the intended completion of the 40 km Jarabacoa-Manabao-La Ci\u00e9naga road, facilitating mountain tourism and farming. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
