The raises for government retirees would benefit those receiving RD$5,117 to RD$30,000 a month. President Danilo Medina had announced the raises in his 27 February 2019 state of the nation address. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some 107,137 former government employees and 9,030 former police making RD$5,117 will now receive payments of RD$8,000.
