Sting arrived on Tuesday for a good night’s sleep prior to his first concert in the Dominican Republic. The 54-year old British rock star, especially famous for “Roxanne,” “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” and “Every Breath You Take” will perform at the 5,000-seater Altos de Chavon amphitheatre in La Romana as part of the North American-Caribbean leg of his “Broken Music” Tour, which includes stopovers in Tobago, the DR, Puerto Rico and Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
The Broken Music Tour consists of Sting on bass in a four-piece band with long-time band mate Dominic Miller on guitar, in addition to Lyle Workman (Beck, Frank Black) also on guitar and Josh Freese on drums.<\/p>\n
Opening the evening is Felle Vega, a noted Dominican percussionist.<\/p>\n
