The program includes the shutdown of improvised car wash businesses and a program to motivate Greater Santo Domingo residents to ration water. Another part of the program is the supervision of the car wash establishments and farms that have been connected illegally to CAASD water lines. The CAASD leader was energetic in announcing the pursuit and prosecution of those persons who tap into the water supply illegally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The press communiqu\u00e9 also said that the educational program is aimed at neighborhood boards and driver\u2019s associations (the concho drivers). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As if that did not suffice, Montas revealed that Dominicans on average consume more than double the global standards of potable water consumption.
