The decision was taken at a recent meeting of the Monetary Board, which said that the decision was based on a detailed analysis of the balance of risks of inflation forecasts, including information provided by the international and domestic macroeconomic indicators, market expectations and medium-term projections. <br> Economic activity continues to grow as expected. The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded by 7% during 2018, mainly due to domestic consumption and investment.
