Tickets are for sale for the 19, 20, 21 May performances of the Black Light Theatre of Prague at the National Theater. Since the very beginning, Jiri Srnec’s theatre ensemble has been recognized as among the best-known representatives of the Czech Theatre School that is based on creative use of a trick by which black-dressed actors and objects seem to move themselves. The Prague Post explains that by reversing traditional Chinese shadow play, Srnec’s theatre utilizes Japanese puppetry’s realization that an operator dressed in black velvet blends into a black background, disappearing enough from the eye of the beholder that the mind tends to erase the artist.<\/p>\n
