American country folk singer-songwriter John Prine has announced his \u2018All the Best\u2019 Fest with Jason Isbell, and Iris Dement at the Breathless + Now Onyx Resort in Punta Cana. Prine is best known for his humorous lyrics about love, life, and current events, as well as serious songs with social commentary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Writing on the event, Rolling Stone online explains that John Prine\u2019s The Tree of Forgiveness Tour has brought him to sold-out venues like Radio City Music Hall and San Francisco\u2019s Warfield. Now he expects the most significant celebration is to be his own All the Best festival, set for 11-15 November 2019, in Punta Cana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prine is inviting his friends to the stage at his first fest. He will perform four times, including collaborative performances with a lineup of fellow Americana giants: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Iris Dement (who famously recorded \u201cIn Spite of Ourselves\u201d with Prine), I\u2019m With Her, Amanda Shires\u2019 Awesome Muscular Trio, Paul Thorn, Tyler Childers, Gretchen Peters among others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prine explained that the idea for staging his own festival began when he and his wife Fiona took a vacation to the spot where he\u2019s staging it. \u201cIt was everything we love about the perfect getaway \u2013 easy to get to, perfect weather, great food, warm hospitality and excellent mojitos!!\u201d he writes on the festival website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prices for the musical vacation (including hotel rooms at the Breathless + Now Onyx Resorts, food, drinks, etc.) range from US$1,599 to US$8,599. They\u2019re currently on presale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
