Those who do not increase salaries as ordered will face the consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said Ministry of Labor inspectors would be visiting companies and handing out infraction notices to employers who do not implement the increase. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He said that the Labor Code mandates that the National Salaries\u2019 Committee set minimum wages. He said opposition to the increase has come from small companies, not big business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, the president of the Federation of Shopkeepers, Ivan Garc\u00eda asked for the decision to be revoked. He said they would appeal to the Superior Administrative Court (TSA). Small business had called for a company reclassification before the increase in the minimum wage. Labor unions oppose the reclassification.
