It now stands at US$44 billion, according to official figures published in Diario Libre newspaper. This amount includes the non-financial public debt and that of the Central Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The newspaper highlights that public debt now represents 50.5% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The public debt has increased by US$5.6 billion since the same period last year.
