The Dominican ambassador to the United States, Jos\u00e9 Tom\u00e1s P\u00e9rez has tweeted asking for a credible explanation for the government laissez-faire regarding the drug capo C\u00e9sar Emilio Peralta (a.k.a. C\u00e9sar El Abusador) scandal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e9rez’s statement came after the US Treasury announced it will be applying the Kingpin Act to Peralta and his drug trafficking organization. In the Dominican Republic, the Attorney General held a press conference to announce the dismantling of the capo’s drug network in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Arrested with drugs several times and free, accused of harming several people and free, dozens of illegal business and free, chief of all drug traffickers and free. But devil! Give me a credible explanation for this madness!” said P\u00e9rez on Twitter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local media have published a long list of criminal actions by Peralta over the past 20 years. Over all those years, Peralta enjoyed privileged impunity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On his Twitter account, P\u00e9rez asked for a credible explanation to the crime situation now in the open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perez is a member of the Political Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
