C\u00e9sar Emilio Peralta (C\u00e9sar El Abusador) disappeared some two weeks ago, and still the authorities have no idea where he is and they continue to try and find him. He was last seen vacationing at a resort in Punta Cana. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Peralta is required for extradition to the United States. He is accused of being the leader of a powerful drug-dealing network that sent tons of cocaine to the United States. The US Treasury designated him under the Kingpin Act. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday, 29 August 2019, it was rumored that he was hidden in the Colinas de Mina complex in Villa Altagracia, and agents from the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) and the military went there, using trucks, all-terrain vehicles, drones and other high technology equipment. There was no sign of Peralta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, a rumor is now circulating that he is negotiating his surrender to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This came to light via journalist Pedro Jim\u00e9nez on the radio talk show, El Sol de la Ma\u00f1ana. Jimenez said his sources told him local prosecutors were negotiating that Marisol Franco, mother of his two twins, be released and that he would take her place. According to Jim\u00e9nez, Peralta is negotiating directly with the DEA and not with the Dominican Republic Attorney General Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Major capos that have been extradited to the United States have served terms in US jails, and struck deals with the US Justice Department and then returned to later enjoy their enormous fortunes in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
