{"id":130853,"date":"2019-09-10T12:16:25","date_gmt":"2019-09-10T12:16:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ny1.dr1.com.do\/wordpress\/?p=130853"},"modified":"2019-09-10T12:16:26","modified_gmt":"2019-09-10T12:16:26","slug":"celebrations-in-puerto-plata","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dr1.com\/news\/2019\/09\/10\/celebrations-in-puerto-plata\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrations in Puerto Plata"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Sunday 8 September 2019, there were celebrations in Puerto Plata to commemorate the 180th anniversary of the birth of General Gregoria Luper\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Permanent Commission of Patriotic Anniversaries (CPEP), together with the Ministries of Defense and Education, the government of Puerto Plata and the Gregoria Luperon museum, organized a range of activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main celebration was at his station in the Malecon of Puerto Plata, with the raising of the Dominican flag and the playing of the National Anthem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was followed by speeches from the Bishop of the Diocese of Puerto Plata, Monse\u00f1or Julio C\u00e9sar Corniel Amaro, and Colonel Richardson Marte Estrella.
