US Democratic Party pre-candidate Joe Biden named Dominican-American Laura Jim\u00e9nez to be his Latinx National Vote Director. She is part of six senior staff members named to focus on attracting women and minority voters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laura Jim\u00e9nez is the daughter of El Sol de la Tarde radio talk show host Cristian Jim\u00e9nez and Vilma Pimentel. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University in political science, she has lived most of her life in the United States. She was active in the national presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton and Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum. She also worked for Florida state senator Jos\u00e9 Javier Rodr\u00edguez as his chief of cabinet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Biden staff members are entrusted with rebuilding the diverse coalition that took Barack Obama to power in 2008.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
