Millennials and centennials will decide the Dominican polls in 2020. The Central Electoral Board (JCE) has given the age breakdown for eligible voters. Those 18 to 45 are 58.97% of voters registered for the municipal elections set for 16 February 2020, or 4,426,341 voters, according to the electoral agency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The JCE reports that of these 1,3247,720 (17.79%) are 18 to 25 years old; 889,516 (11.85%) are 26 to 30 years; and 772,014 (10.29% are 31 to 35 years old. There are 744,010 (9.91%) voters 36 to 40 years old while 9.23% or 693,081 are 41 to 45 years old. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voter breakdown continues: 46-50 years: 663,581 (8.84%); 51-55 years: 615,285 (88.20%); 56-60 years: 509,984 (6.79%); 61 to 61 years: 408,156 (5.44%); 66-70 years: 314,067 (4.18%); 70+ years: 549,616 (7.32%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The total voter list would reach 7,505,507 eligible voters in time for the 17 May 2020 presidential and congressional election because 18,467 Dominicans will have reached voter age by then. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
