The side-by-side resorts are adding 750 oceanfront suites to the destination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The all-ages Hyatt Ziva features a full-scale water park, extensively themed a la carte restaurants including Noodle &amp; Thread, an Italian-eatery inspired by a vintage tailor shop, a tree house replica kids club and an 80\u2019s steampunk-themed teens club. Its sister hotel, the adults-only Hyatt Zilara features the first Hindu restaurant of the brand inspired by the Venice Simplon Orient Express. It also boasts an underground cenote-inspired spa featuring the first Himalayan salt lounge in the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resorts share a 14,000 square-foot fitness center modeled after an industrial boxing gym, 45,000 square-feet of meeting and event space with wedding venues and a 300-seat open-air amphitheater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Dominican Republic native, Pedro Tom\u00e1s will be the resorts first general manager. Before this appointment, Tomas was general manager of the Hilton La Romana all-inclusive resort. Previously, he was general manager of several AAA Four Diamond recognized properties.
