From 12-15 November 2019, there will be showings of 12 new documentaries, filmed here and overseas. The screenings will be held in Santo Domingo, Santiago and Punta Cana, along with discussion and debate sessions. The films are productions from six countries: Colombia, Argentina, Belgium, the United States, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the executive director of the DREFF, Natacha Despotovic, \u201cwe are refreshed and renewed and have the same dream that led us to create the first DREFF back in 2011.\u201d The idea is to offer the Dominican audience a platform of information and debate that concentrates on the environment and sustainable development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The films will be shown at many venues, including universities, private schools, libraries, cultural centers and research centers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The documentary \u201cAlbatross\u201d is a powerful production that takes the audience to the heart of an environmental tragedy in one of the most remote islands on the planet, where tens of thousands of young baby albatross are dead with their bodies full of plastic. This documentary, directed by Chris Jordan will be presented by the producer of the film, Victoria Sloan Jordan, who will be sharing her experiences with the audiences.
