The Voluntariado has spent years working with children suffering from cancer, serious burns and other trauma. Xenia Gell de Alvarez, the president of the entity, spoke to reporters last week and revealed that only one of the eight surgical areas is functioning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gell said that the only functioning operating room is located between the infectious disease area and the morgue and that because of this location, many doctors refuse to operate there.
