The operation essentially rewired the paralyzed vocal cord with a new nerve supply of the child. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the first time the procedure is carried out in the country. Through the procedure, voice was restored to a three-year old girl who had suffered from paralysis of her vocal chords.
