The measure should have a significant effect on the number of Argentine tourists traveling to Dominican resorts. Around 200,000 Argentines visited the Dominican Republic in 2018. Most flew in on Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas and came to spend one or two weeks at a Punta Cana resort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 30% surcharge over the official rate affects the cost of airline tickets and hotel stays and makes Dominican vacations more expensive for Argentine tourists.
