Ricardo had been appointed to replace Domingo Contreras as director of Special Programs of the Presidency. Contreras is running for National District mayor for the PLD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ricardo had previously aspired to be the PLD candidate for Santo Domingo East, but lost to Luis Alberto Tejeda Pimentel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An editorial in Diario Libre criticizes the nepotism that prevailed in the appointment of Ricardo\u2019s mom to the seat.
