Zapete was sued for defamation by Maybeth Rodr\u00edguez S\u00e1nchez, sister of Attorney General Jean Alain Rodr\u00edguez, after the journalist presented evidence of irregularities in government procurement in documents signed by Maybeth Rodr\u00edguez. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The court, presided over by Ysis Mu\u00f1iz Almonte, is composed of Pedro Antonio S\u00e1nchez Rivera, Omar Jim\u00e9nez Rosa and Rosalba Garib Holgu\u00edn. Meeting in the Council Chamber, the court made the decision after accepting a challenge against the judge of the Fourth Criminal Court of the National District, Franny Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zapete&#8217;s defense, lawyers ElsaTrinidad Guti\u00e9rrez Guill\u00e9n, Carlos Polanco Rodr\u00edguez, Laura Yisell Rodr\u00edguez and V\u00edctor Rogelio Benavides, had sought Gonzalez&#8217;s recusal for being partial.
