The game is part of the MLB spring training circuit. The game is sold out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last time MLB teams played in the Dominican Republic was in 2000, when Boston Red Sox matched the Houston Astros. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The stadium has been improved a lot and we can say that we are ready for this Saturday&#8217;s action,&#8221; Eduardo Najri, president of the Quisqueya Stadium&#8217;s Board of Directors, told El Caribe on Sunday, 1 March 2020. &#8220;The ground was conditioned, adjustments were also made so that all the measures are as required by the MLB, that includes the protective field covers,&#8221; added the businessman. He said RD$4 to RD$5 million were invested to prepare the ballpark to receive the MLB teams. The stadium dates back to 1955. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minnesota has on its rosters Dominicans Jorge Polanco, Miguel San\u00f3 and Nelson Cruz, the three key players of the team that won the American League Central Division in the last tournament.
