The JCE rejected the presidential and vice presidential candidatures of the minority party, the Partido Renacentista Nacional (PRN), but accepted all the others from the Partido Reformista Social Cristiano (PRSC), the Partido Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD), the Partido de la Liberaci\u00f3n Dominicana (PLD), the Partido del Pueblo Dominicano (PPD), the Movimiento de Conciliaci\u00f3n Nacional (MCN) and the Alianza Social Dem\u00f3crata (ASD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
The electoral court authorized the pairs made up of Jos\u00e9 Francisco Pe\u00f1a G\u00f3mez and Fernando Alvarez Bogaert for the PRD; Jacinto Peynado and Maribel Gass\u00f3 for the PRSC, and Leonel Fern\u00e1ndez and Jaime David Fern\u00e1ndez Mirabal for the PLD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
Rafael Alburquerque and Dalia F\u00e9liz were authorized to run for the PPD; Puro Pichardo and Franklin Dom\u00ednguez for the MCN and Jos\u00e9 Rafael Abinader and Lu\u00eds Minier Al\u00edes for the ASD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
The PRD heads the so-called Acuerdo de Santo Domingo, whose allies are the Partido Quisqueyano Dem\u00f3crata (PQD), Partido de los Trabajadores Dominicanos (PTD), Partido Democr\u00e1tico Institucional (PDI), Partido Popular Cristiano (PPC), Partido Nacional de Veteranos y Civiles (PNVC), Unidad Democr\u00e1tica (UD) and the Bloque Institucional Socialdem\u00f3crata (BIS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
