The three principal parties (PRD, PLD and PRSC) have more in common regarding their economic proposals than differences. All propose macroeconomic and economic stability, autonomy of the Central Bank, maintaining inflation below 10%, the elimination of the discretionary use of funds by the President of the Republic, improvement in the living conditions of Dominicans, and an increase in manufacturing and agriculture. Following the meeting of the economists representing the principal parties held at the Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) last week, the conclusion of the audience was that whoever wins the election, and assuming that the government programs are met, will exercise good administration from the economic point of view. The event was held as part of Participaci\u00f3n Ciudadana, and the opening words were given by Eduardo Latorre, who was the moderator of the event. Participating as panelists were economists Miguel Ceara Hatton, Eduardo Garc\u00eda Michel and Ram\u00f3n Flores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
