Impact International, a U.S. magazine specializing in alcoholic beverages, has placed Ron Brugal in 30th position amongst the most sold spirits worldwide, with last year’s sales reaching 2.5 million cases. According to the 1-15 February issue of the above publication, Brugal is second only to Bacardi in global sales. It also reports that from 1990-1995 Brugal’s sales grew by an annual average of 10.6 percent, with 1995 registering a mere 0.4 percent growth. Only two other rums are included on the list, in positions 81 and 82.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
The magazine rates the spirits after conducting surveys in international markets. The standings are adjusted on a periodical basis to correspond with sales statistics on the most renowned brands.
