The Asociaci\u00f3n Dominicana de Industrias Textiles y Fabricantes de Ropa de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana (Aditex-Asfarodom) has signed an agreement with the Instituto Dominicano de Tecnolog\u00eda Industrial (Indotec) to start a test laboratory to assist in making the textile more competitive in international markets. The laboratory will provide modern textile testing procedures for cloth samples and raw materials. The plan seeks to bring the country to the point where it can export complete textile manufacturing services and products, and not just its labor as at present. The idea is to export clothing that has a higher local input, and will permit the country to achieve greater shares in international markets, such as Europe, the country being a signatory to the Lom\u00e9 agreement. The agreement was signed by Mariano Mella, general manager of the Banco Central; Miguel J.
