In an op-ed feature in El Dia, Orlando Jorge Mera, who is the PRM delegate to the Central Electoral Board (JCE) said that proposals for an extension of the present government of President Danilo Medina because of the crisis \u201cis totally unacceptable.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTo celebrate elections in times of a pandemic is not an easy task, but it cannot be seen as impossible, when reasonable measures are taken to protect people\u2019s health and democracy,\u201d he wrote.
