The president of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Jos\u00e9 Ignacio Paliza, called for the party\u2019s Ethics and Control Commission to initiate a disciplinary process to expel Ronald Guill\u00e9n in Puerto Plata. Guill\u00e9n had posted a video on social networks to celebrate a new SUV assigned to him at the city government. They said they were driving the SUV that had been assigned to former mayor Walter Musa. In the video, Guill\u00e9n is seen boasting \u201cwe are in power,\u201d \u201cso they respect us,\u201d \u201cthe ranks are ours,\u201d among other observations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video shows Guill\u00e9n and another man celebrating they are now part of the Puerto Plata city government administration under new mayor Roquelito Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a letter addressed to Dr. Jos\u00e9 Garc\u00eda Ram\u00edrez, president of the PRM’s Ethics and Control Commission, Paliza rejects the statements and behavior by Guill\u00e9n in the video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release, the president of the PRM warns that the party will not tolerate any behavior from its leaders or militants that goes against the change that Dominican society aspires to. He said previously, they had already taken actions against party members, as was the case of Ram\u00f3n Orlando Fontanilla Ferreira, who disrespected the local authorities during the coronavirus curfew hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They said that, with that intention, on other occasions, they have also taken the necessary measures against those who have done so, such as recently the suspension of the militant Ram\u00f3n Orlando Fontanilla Ferreira, who disrespected the local authorities during curfew hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
