There are 1,121 patients hospitalized. In the previous report (#37), the number of persons in intensive care units was 136. Report #38 does not indicate the updated number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bulletin #38 carries statistics up to 25 April 2020 at 6pm. The tally includes only the results from 22,498 PCR diagnostic tests. The results from rapid response blood antibody tests are not included in the statistical report, nor those diagnosed by tomography or other ways. The Dominican Republic has a population of more than 10 million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of Friday, 24 April 2020 at 6pm, the most confirmed PCR cases continue to be reported in the National District and Santo Domingo Province (Greater Santo Domingo), Santiago, Duarte (San Francisco de Macor\u00eds), La Vega, Puerto Plata, Espaillat (Moca) and Monse\u00f1or Nouel (Bonao).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest increase in cases were reported for the National District (54), Santo Domingo province (52), Duarte (25), S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez \/ Cotu\u00ed (25), Santiago (11), Monse\u00f1or Nouel (9), San Crist\u00f3bal (9), La Vega (5), Valverde (5), Hermanas Mirabal (2), La Romana (2) and Monte Plata (2). In the other 20 provinces, 1 or no cases are reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bulletin #38, the evolution of the health crisis nationwide is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National District: 1,545 cases, 54 new cases, 37 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santo Domingo province: 1,135 cases, 52 new cases, 40 deaths, including 1 new death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santiago: 765 cases, 11 new cases, 44 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duarte (San Francisco de Macor\u00eds): 587 cases, 25 new cases, 76 deaths, including 1 new death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Vega: 427 cases, 5 new cases, 7 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Puerto Plata: 193 cases, 1 new case, 13 deaths, including two new cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Espaillat (Moca, Gaspar Hern\u00e1ndez): 186 cases, 5 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monse\u00f1or Nouel (Bonao): 173 cases, 9 new cases, 3 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hermanas Mirabal \/ Salcedo: 150 cases, 5 new cases, 11 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Crist\u00f3bal: 156 cases, 9 new cases, 6 deaths, including 1 new death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez (Cotu\u00ed): 164 cases, 25 new cases, 6 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Altagracia (Higuey, Veron, Punta Cana): 110 cases, 1 new case, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Romana: 107 cases, 2 new cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez \/ Nagua: 82 cases, 3 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Pedro de Macor\u00eds: 58 cases, 1 new case, 7 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Juan de la Maguana: 44 cases, 3 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peravia: 40 cases, 1 new case, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barahona: 35 cases, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valverde: 37 cases, 5 new cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Azua: 31 cases, 1 new case, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santiago Rodr\u00edguez: 25 cases, 1 new case, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saman\u00e1: 21 cases, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Montecristi: 13 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monte Plata: 15 cases, 2 new cases, 3 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hato Mayor: 12 cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baoruco: 4 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Seibo: 5 cases, 1 new case<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa: 5 cases, 1 new case, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pedernales: 3 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dajab\u00f3n: 3 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Independencia: 1 case<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a: 1 case<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haiti reports 74 confirmed cases and 6 deaths as of 25 April 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See the epidemiological bulletins at:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/coronavirusrd.gob.do\/\">Coronavirus RD <\/a><br><a href=\"https:\/\/coronavirus.jhu.edu\/map.html\">John Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>27 April 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to Coronavirus Bulletin #38 of the Public Health Ministry\u2019s Department of Epidemiology, the Dominican Republic has 6,135 confirmed cases, 209 new cases and 278 deaths.
