There are 1,121 patients hospitalized and 143 persons in intensive care units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bulletin #39 carries statistics up to 26 April 2020 at 6pm. The tally includes only the results from 23,485 PCR diagnostic tests. The results from rapid response blood antibody tests are not included in the statistical report, nor those diagnosed by tomography or other ways. The Dominican Republic has a population of more than 10 million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of Friday, 26 April 2020 at 6pm, the most confirmed PCR cases continue to be reported in the National District and Santo Domingo Province (Greater Santo Domingo), Santiago, Duarte (San Francisco de Macor\u00eds), La Vega, Puerto Plata, Monse\u00f1or Nouel (Bonao), Espaillat (Moca, San Crist\u00f3bal and S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez (Cotu\u00ed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest increase in cases were reported for Santo Domingo province (38), the National District (26), Santiago (20), San Crist\u00f3bal (9), San Juan de la Maguana (9), Duarte (7), Puerto Plata (5), Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez \/ Nagua (4), Montecristi (4), La Vega (8), San Pedro de Macoris (4), La Altagracia (4), La Romana (4), Azua (3), Peravia (3), Hermanas Mirabal (2), S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez \/ Cotu\u00ed (2), and Monse\u00f1or Nouel \/Bonao (2).
