The results are from 61,330 PCR diagnostic tests, for a record 19.68% positive rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Previous bulletin results for weekend days have been:<br>Bulletin #62: 13,477 confirmed tests, 254 new cases, 446 deaths, 59,976 PCR tests<br>Bulletin #61: 13,223 confirmed tests, 498 new cases, 441 deaths, 58,357 PCR tests<br>Bulletin #60: 12,725 confirmed tests, 411 new cases, 434 deaths, 55,469 PCR tests<br>Bulletin #59: 12,314 confirmed tests, 204 new cases, 428 deaths, 53,280 PCR tests.<br>Bulletin #58: 12,110 confirmed tests, 371 new cases, 428 deaths, 52,359 PCR tests.<br>Bulletin #57: 11,739 confirmed tests, 419 new cases, 424 deaths, 50,108 PCR tests.<br>Bulletin #56: 11,320 confirmed tests, 124 new cases, 422 deaths, 47117 PCR tests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PCR tests stats for the past eleven days are: 1,354 (Bulletin#63), 1,619 (Bulletin #62), 2,888 (Bulletin #61), 2,189 (Bulletin #60), 921 (Bulletin #59), 2,251 (Bulletin #58), 2,991 (Bulletin #57), 657 (Bulletin #56), 1,792 (Bulletin #55), 1,038 (Bulletin #54), 1,672 (Bulletin #53). The Pan American Health Organization says that the country needs to continue to show consistency in testing before easing further activity restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statistical reports do not include results from rapid response blood antibody tests or patients diagnosed with tomography or other means. The Dominican Republic has a population of more than 10 million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of Wednesday, 19 May 2020 at 6pm, the most confirmed cases continue to be reported in the National District and Santo Domingo Province, Santiago, La Vega, Duarte, San Cristobal, Espaillat, La Romana, Puerto Plata, S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez, Hermanas Mirabal and La Altagracia. All other provinces report 200 or less cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest increases in new confirmed cases were reported for the National District (74), Santo Domingo Province (67), San Crist\u00f3bal (10), Azua (9), Barahona (6), Espaillat \/ Moca (3), Santiago (2), Puerto Plata (2), San Pedro de Macor\u00eds (2), Duarte (2), and San Juan de la Maguana (2). The Ministry of Public Health reports 1 or less confirmed cases in 23 other provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Bulletin #63, the evolution of the health crisis nationwide is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>National District: 3,491 cases, 74 new cases, 69 deaths, including 1 new death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santo Domingo province: 3,249 cases, 67 new cases, 72 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santiago: 1,316 cases, 2 new cases, 71 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Vega: 830 cases, 25 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duarte (San Francisco de Macor\u00eds): 772 cases, 1 case, 84 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Crist\u00f3bal: 743 cases, 10 new cases, 18 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Espaillat (Moca, Gaspar Hern\u00e1ndez): 504 cases, 3 new cases, 8 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Romana: 422 cases, 1 new case, 7 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Puerto Plata: 334 cases, 2 new cases, 18 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monse\u00f1or Nouel (Bonao): 310 cases, 1 new case, 4 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u00e1nchez Ram\u00edrez (Cotu\u00ed): 240 cases, 7 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hermanas Mirabal \/ Salcedo: 235 cases, 15 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La Altagracia (Higuey, Ver\u00f3n, Punta Cana): 226 cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Azua: 160 cases, 9 new cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mar\u00eda Trinidad S\u00e1nchez \/ Nagua: 121 cases, 4 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Pedro de Macor\u00eds: 109 cases, 2 new cases, 13 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Juan de la Maguana: 105 cases, 6 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peravia: 99 cases, 3 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barahona: 93 cases, 6 new cases, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valverde: 79 cases, 2 cases, 5 deaths, 1 new death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Santiago Rodr\u00edguez: 47 cases, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monte Plata: 35 cases, 6 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Montecristi: 31 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saman\u00e1: 29 cases, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Jos\u00e9 de Ocoa: 20 cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El Seibo: 15 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hato Mayor: 13 cases, 2 deaths<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baoruco: 8 cases, 1 new death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El\u00edas Pi\u00f1a: 7 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dajab\u00f3n: 6 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pedernales: 5 cases<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Independencia: 3 cases, 1 death<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haiti reports 663 confirmed cases and 22 deaths as of 19 May 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the Americas, the Dominican Republic is ranked 9th in confirmed cases after the United States, Brazil, Peru, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Ecuador and Colombia.
