Reportedly, he left letters explaining the situation. The family said Mart\u00ednez suffered from depression. The family, nevertheless, said they never expected the outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police spokesperson Frank Felix Duran Mej\u00eda said all evidence seems to indicate the colonel shot himself in the head. The corpse was found on Saturday. He had been missing since Thursday.
